Billing Information
About Your Water and Sewer Bill

METERED WATER SERVICES
Metered water service is based on the amount of water (consumption) that actually goes through the meter.  The meter is read on the date the water service is started, and thereafter the meter is read once a month.

Your initial bill may not cover a full month of water depending on when you start service.

SEWER SERVICES
The majority of Nauvoo residents are connected to the city sewer system.  The sewer charge for those residents is based on their water consumption. Those residents living in Bluff woods are on septic tanks and do not have a sewer charge.

GARBAGE PICKUP AND RECYCLING
The City of Nauvoo has contracted with KohlMorgan Hauling of Keokuk, Iowa to provide weekly curb side garbage pickup, weekly curbside recycling and once a year curb side City wide clean up. The fee for residential service is $8.70 a month and is billed on the water/sewer bills. Garbage pickup is on Fridays. and they ask that everyone has their garbage out by 7:30 am. Residents are allowed 6 loose bags of garbage a week.

Click here  for more information on recycling.
